The Minecraft Marvel of the Adorable and Distinctive Pet Axolotl

Axolotl-Minecraft

While existing as a real-world amphibian, the Axolotl has undergone a remarkable transformation within the realm of Minecraft. Within this pixelated domain, the Axolotl finds its home beneath the water’s surface, inhabiting lakes, rivers, and seas.

Boasting a distinct and captivating appearance, these creatures sport a sleek physique, a notable caudal fin, and a vibrant array of skin colors. The axolotls that inhabit the Minecraft universe draw inspiration from their real-life counterparts while embracing a touch of whimsical fantasy unique to the game.

What truly sets the Minecraft axolotls apart is their player-centric demeanor. Players fortunate enough to encounter these beings can tame them, turning them into steadfast companions for their adventures.

Transformed into loyal allies, pet axolotls are stalwart protectors against adversaries such as Zombie (Drowned) and other hostile creatures. Remarkably, this protective nature extends beyond aquatic environments, as these companions also valiantly defend their owners on land.

Yet, the pinnacle of these pets’ capabilities lies in their remarkable self-healing prowess. Amid the battle, a pet axolotl will instinctively approach its owner, swiftly nursing them back to health after sustaining injuries.

This remarkable attribute eliminates the need for players to expend time and effort gathering and utilizing healing resources. Furthermore, pet axolotls exhibit the capacity to counteract adverse effects like poisoning or hunger that players might encounter.

Additionally, axolotls demonstrate a remarkable aptitude for deep-sea exploration. By employing their hind flippers to breathe air, they can prolong their submersion and aid players in investigating the ocean’s depths, uncovering hidden treasures and intriguing structures.

Beyond their other abilities, axolotls possess the knack for feigning death, a skill that brings peace of mind to players, who need not fret about losing their cherished companions.

How To Get Axolotl Minecraft

There are two ways to get an Axolotl. Both are also relatively easy to do and don’t require a lot of complicated things. Here is the explanation so you can get your own Axolotl!

Catching an Axolotl in Minecraft Using a Bucket

Axolotl-Minecraft

The first way to get an Axolotl is by wild capture. You only need an Iron Bucket (Bucket), which can be made with three Iron Ingots.

It is obtained by burning Iron Ore using the Furnace. After having the Bucket, you only have to find the Axolotl’s habitat. This animal biome can generally be found in waters with lots of Clay – Lush Cave.

Lush Cave

You only need to mine to a certain depth and find an underground cave with a spring to find Lush Cave. If the shelter doesn’t have Clay, you can create the biome yourself.

To make Clay, you can soak Dirt in a Bottle filled with water until it turns into Mud. If so, place the finished Mud on top of the Dripstone Block to turn the Mud into Clay.

Stack the Clay in an underground cave with a spring to turn it into a Lush Cave so Axolotl can spawn automatically. If it has been generated, aim the Bucket filled with water at the Axolotl, and officially, you have your own Axolotl!

The second way is to breed them. This can only be done if you have two or more Axolotls, simply by looking for Tropical Fish as Axolotl’s favorite food.

Take it using a Bucket, then give the Bucket containing the Tropical Fish (bucket of Tropical Fish) to the Axolotl you want to breed. In no time, the baby Axolotls will respawn instantly! Easy.
