Best Mobile Legends Layla Skins

For quite some time, Layla became some kind of a poster girl for the hit MOBA Mobile Legends, appearing in numerous promotional media for the game. She is among the starter characters new players can obtain for free. Her high damage and relatively low difficulty make her quite popular among newbies. Her popularity resulted in several skins made for her.

Skins are the alternate appearances of characters in a game. Game developers may apply the concept of alternate appearance under many other names, such as Outfits in Honkai Impact 3rd and Coatings in Punishing: Gray Raven, among others.

As of September 2021, there have been several Mobile Legends Layla skins.

Event-limited Skins

Currently, there are two Mobile Legend skins that are exclusive to the event they were released on and cannot be obtained by any other means: Gatotkaca – Spark and Layla – Blue Spectre. Gatotkaca – Spark is available during the “2019 Indonesia President’s Cup” soccer event.

Meanwhile, Blue Spectre was released back in 2017. Not only was it time-limited, but not every player could also get access to this exclusive attire. It was a gift from an offline redeem code event held by the developers and Diamond merchant partners. Merchants gave out the redeem code to selected players through various methods that fit exclusive content.

Due to its exclusivity, people are willing to buy an account that has Blue Spectre in it. You can also find people selling their Blue Spectre account for a hefty price in the online marketplace. The thing is, selling, trading, or boosting accounts are strictly prohibited. Should anything happen to your illegally obtained account, the customer service would not bother to help you in any way.

It is kind of ironic that the best Mobile Legends Layla skin is her rarest and most exclusive Blue Spectre. Not to mention that there are only a handful of players who own Blue Spectre. However, in this case, the exclusivity of the attire might be the cause of its immense popularity.

Outside of Blue Spectre, Layla has other popular skins players can obtain through various means.

Classic Malefic Gunner

Classic Malefic Gunner was given for free to players who signed up to the game before Layla was revamped. Contrary to her Basic attire that gives a steampunk vibe, Malefic Gunner and Classic Malefic Gunner are leaning towards cyberpunk aesthetics.

Classic Malefic Gunner is obtainable through Season First Recharge and costs 50 Diamonds when available.

Cannon and Rose

Cannon and Rose are one of the Valentine Special Skins. Her appearance in this outfit shares a similar design theme with Clint – Guns and Roses. While their Valentine attire is marketed as “couple attire,” they are not an actual couple in the lore. The attire was first released in the 2017 Valentine’s events, costing 749 Diamonds.

In the following years, there are four other annual “couples” released during Valentine’s seasons:

  • 2018 couple: Alucard – Miya (Romantic Fantasy – Sweet Fantasy)
  • 2019 couple: Gusion – Lasley (Dangerous Liaison – Dangerous Love)
  • 2020 couple: Khufra – Esmeralda (Gentleman Thief – Lady Thief)
  • 2021 couple: Carmilla – Cecilion (Phantom Countess – Phantom Count)

Bunny Babe

Available exclusively to Starlight Members, Bunny Babe is featured as January 2017’s free, permanent skin. Her attire in this outfit looks like a typical Bunny Girl in casinos, wearing a tuxedo and what appears like a fishnet stocking, complete with bunny ears headband. Her cannon also looks like a giant red lipstick.

Though originally exclusive to Starlight Members, this outfit is now considered an old Rare Skin. That means players can obtain this attire in the Rare Skin fragment shop using 200 Rare Skin fragments.

S.A.B.E.R. Breacher

Currently, Layla is a member of the S.A.B.E.R. Squad, whose members are Rafaela, Johnson, herself, Cyclops, and Saber. Respectively, each member’s outfit represents each letter in the acronym: Rafaela – Savior; Johnson – Automata; Layla – Breacher; Cyclops – Enforcer; and Saber – Regulator.

All S.A.B.E.R. Squad attires look like futuristic police uniforms. Interestingly, although it might be pure coincidence, each member represents a different division inside a police force. Savior looks like a Search-and-Rescue officer, both Automata and Enforcer look like Anti-Riot units, Breacher looks like a patrol officer, and Regulator might just be a special unit officer. Saber leads this heroic squad, which makes sense since the squad shares his name.

S.A.B.E.R. Breacher Mobile Legends skins, alongside the rest of the squad, cost 899 Diamonds to obtain.

Blazing Gun

It seems like the fan-beloved cannoneer led a double life. While she is a member of the heroic S.A.B.E.R. Squad, she is also a member of the villainous Blazing Bounties. Layla – Blazing Gun joins the likes of Aldous – Blazing Force, Franco – Blazing Axe, Esmeralda – Blazing Shadow, and Claude – Blazing Trace. Blazing Bounties squad attire took inspiration from the American Wild West outlaws.

Blazing Gun was released on November 17, 2020, and was obtainable during Blazing Gun’s Call Event. Blazing Gun is available permanently in the Skin Shop as of December 2, 2020. Like the rest of the squad, this attire costs 899 Diamonds.

Mobile Legends Layla skins and many others cost Diamonds, so make sure you top-up your Diamonds first through trustworthy merchants such as UniPin.
